Vibrancy is a pelvic floor health clinic located within Portland’s Fair-Haired Dumbbell, a building known for its bold exterior murals and prominent location in inner Southeast. The project involved a full interior upfit to convert a raw commercial space into a wellness-focused treatment environment. Each of the clinic rooms is oriented around a unique window configuration, offering varied light conditions and views. This spatial differentiation supports Vibrancy’s individualized model of care, where treatment is tailored to the specific needs of each patient and practitioner relationship.
Natural materials and warm finishes were used to reinforce the clinic’s focus on holistic wellness. Exposed mass timber ceilings preserve the building’s structural clarity while contributing to a calming sensory experience. A continuous horizontal carpet mural runs through the clinic’s shared spaces, drawing inspiration from the exterior artwork and serving as a connective thread across treatment areas. The design works in quiet parallel with Vibrancy’s mission, providing a grounded, intentional backdrop for focused one-on-one care.
